WE NEED YOUR HELP ... Utilizing Voices for Cooperative Power

At Shelby Electric Cooperative we get our power generation from Prairie Power Incorporated (PPI). PPI along with eight other Generation and Transmission Cooperatives receives power from Prairie State Energy Campus (PSEC). PSEC is one of the most efficient and environmentally sound power plants in the country. Governor Pritzker and some state legislators want to close this plant down. Early closure of PSEC could result in 20-25% higher rural utility bills, loss of many local jobs, and support jobs. Don’t let environmental policy get ahead of technology. Tell Governor Pritzker and our State Legislators that we must keep energy affordable and reliable. Click this link to take action now!
