How to Report an Outage

If your power goes out, first check your breakers and ask neighbors if they’re affected.

Then report the outage by calling (800) 677-2612 or using SmartHub—do not use Facebook or email, as they aren’t monitored 24/7.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU LOSE POWER

  1. Check the fuses or breakers in your home and at the meter pole if you are able to.
  2. Check with your neighbors to see if their power is also off.
  3. Call Shelby Electric Cooperative to report your outage (800) 677-2612. When you call to report an outageplease include the following information:
    1. Your name
    2. Account number
    3. Phone number of person at the account location
    4. Service address

DO NOT USE FACEBOOK OR EMAIL TO REPORT YOUR OUTAGE AS WE DON'T MONITOR THESE 24/7.  OUR CREWS ARE DISPATCHED BY CALLING IN YOUR OUTAGE (800) 677-2612 OR USING SMARTHUBSIGN UP ONLINE OR DOWNLOAD THE SMARTHUB APP FROM YOUR APP STORE.
