Join Shelby Electric Cooperative by completing our membership application.

Prospective members within our service area can download, fill out, and submit the form by mail, fax, email, or in person to start receiving electric service.

Before starting service, Shelby Electric Cooperative will have to receive the completed and signed application as well as a copy of the prospective member's drivers license. A deposit may be necessary. You will also need to contact a representative from our office at (800) 677-2612, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 7AM & 4PM.

We are a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving all or parts of the following counties: Christian, Cumberland, Effingham, Fayette, Macon, Montgomery, Moultrie, Sangamon and Shelby Counties.  To be a member you have to have a farm, business or residence within our service territory.  Feel free to contact us during normal business hours Monday - Friday 7AM to 4PM at 1-800-677-2612 or stop by our office at 1355 State Highway 128 in Shelbyville, Illinois.
